Afghanistan’s supreme chief and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives because the Taliban seized energy.
“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it is traditional and respectful,” said a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was launched by Taliban authorities at a function in Kabul.
“Those girls who usually are not too previous or younger must cowl their face, except the eyes, as per sharia directives, in an effort to avoid provocation when meeting males who should not mahram (grownup close male kin),” the decree stated.
It added that if women had no necessary work outdoors it was “higher they stay at dwelling.”
During their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed comparable restrictions on women.
