A girl visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news release from the park.
The lady approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Old Devoted geyser, the park stated.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison dwell at the park, and they have injured more folks than every other animal, the park said.
When the customer got here inside 10 feet of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes in the air, the park said.
The lady had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two different individuals were also near the animal when it gored the girl, the park said. The discharge didn’t say in the event that they have been injured.
The park warned individuals to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and no less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A earlier model of this article misstated the severity of the girl’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
