Victims and families of victims of the November Oxford college capturing in Michigan filed a lawsuit in opposition to the Oxford faculty district and school directors, accusing them of violating legally mandated school security policies and of violating students' constitutional rights.
The lawsuit accused directors of failing to notify regulation enforcement of the actions of the accused shooter main as much as the shooting.

The lawsuit claimed that due to the college and district directors' knowledge earlier than the capturing began, "it was foreseeable that [Crumbley] would perform such acts of violence."
The lawsuit also alleged that the district violated the victims' constitutional right to be free from hazard.
