Online diary: Buffalo gunman plotted assault for months

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The white gunman accused of massacring 10 Black folks at a Buffalo supermarket wrote as far back as November about staging a livestreamed assault on African People, practiced shooting from his automobile and traveled hours from his residence in March to scout out the store, in line with detailed diary entries he seems to have posted online.

The writer of the diary posted hand-drawn maps of the grocery store along with tallies of the variety of Black individuals he counted there, and recounted how a Black security guard on the grocery store confronted him that day to ask what he was up to.
