Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several agencies responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm along with several other companies in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
