Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several businesses responded to a center school in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty around 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with several other businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
