Days after at least 19 elementary college students and two lecturers were killed in a mass taking pictures at an elementary faculty in Uvalde, Texas, students at schools around the nation staged walkouts to protest gun violence.

"You see information day by day about youngsters getting shot and folks your age dying and it's just incredibly unhappy and unbelievable, especially to see like kids younger and children my age," Janoff advised ABC Information. "I cant think about that being me; however it's imaginable as a result of it happens so often."
The 17 year-old says her school's administration was in support of the walkout and she hopes the over 200 planned demonstrations across the country ship a clear message that students are a "united entrance."
A walkout could not necessarily change legislation, Janoff stated, but these actions show "students are still united on this."
She stated that though most students aren't old enough to vote, they still wish to see change and are keen to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
"College students do not must be quiet about it simply because they are a kid," Janoff said.
