Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten direkt den Wert einer bevorzugten Positionierung in den Ergebnissen und recht bald entwickelten sich Betrieb, die sich auf die Besserung ausgebildeten. In den Anfängen erfolgte der Antritt oft über die Übermittlung der URL der geeigneten Seite bei der verschiedenartigen Search Engines. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Untersuchung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Internetseite auf den Web Server der Suchseiten, wo ein zweites Anwendung, der sogenannte Indexer, Informationen herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu ähnlichen Seiten). Die neuzeitlichen Typen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die durch die Webmaster auch vorgegeben wurden von empirica, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Übersicht via Thema einer Seite, aber setzte sich bald herab, dass die Anwendung der Details nicht ordentlich war, da die Wahl der verwendeten Schlüsselworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts repräsentieren konnte. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Seiten bei einzigartigen Brauchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedenartige Merkmale binnen des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu manipulieren, dass die Seite passender in den Serps gefunden wird.[3] Da die neuzeitlichen Internet Suchmaschinen sehr auf Merkmalen dependent waren, die einzig in Fingern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr anfällig für Falscher Gebrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um vorteilhaftere und relevantere Vergleichsergebnisse in den Ergebnissen zu bekommen, mussten wir sich die Betreiber der Search Engines an diese Umständen angleichen. Weil der Ergebnis einer Suchseite davon anhängig ist, relevante Suchergebnisse zu den gestellten Keywords anzuzeigen, vermochten unpassende Resultate zur Folge haben, dass sich die Benutzer nach sonstigen Möglichkeiten bei dem Suche im Web umsehen. Die Antwort der Suchmaschinen im WWW lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Positionierung, die Gesichtspunkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwierig beeinflussbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entworfenen mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Suchmaschinen – eine Suchseite, die auf einem mathematischen KI basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Kanten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch weitere Suchmaschinen im WWW bezogen in der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. fit der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Bing
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
