Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten zügig den Wert einer nahmen Listung in den Resultaten und recht bald entwickelten sich Organisation, die sich auf die Optimierung ausgebildeten. In den Anfängen passierte die Aufnahme oft zu der Übertragung der URL der geeigneten Seite an die verschiedenen Suchmaschinen im Netz. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Auswertung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Website auf den Server der Suchmaschine, wo ein zweites Softwaresystem, der so genannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu anderen Seiten). Die damaligen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die aufgrund der Webmaster eigenhändig vorliegen wurden von empirica, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Überblick via Content einer Seite, doch stellte sich bald herab, dass die Verwendung er Hinweise nicht verlässlich war, da die Wahl der gebrauchten Schlagworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts sonstige Verben konnte. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Internetseiten bei einzigartigen Brauchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller unterschiedliche Eigenschaften im Laufe des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite überlegen in Serps gefunden wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Internet Suchmaschinen sehr auf Aspekte abhängig waren, die nur in den Fingern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr anfällig für Straftat und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um tolle und relevantere Urteile in den Resultaten zu bekommen, mussten sich die Inhaber der Internet Suchmaschinen an diese Rahmenbedingungen einstellen. Weil der Gelingen einer Recherche davon abhängig ist, wichtigste Suchergebnisse zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten unpassende Resultate dazu führen, dass sich die Anwender nach diversen Chancen wofür Suche im Web umblicken. Die Auskunft der Suchmaschinen im Netz lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Platz, die Gesichtspunkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwierig manipulierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entworfenen mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Bing – eine Anlaufstelle, die auf einem mathematischen KI basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Webseiten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfluss besitzen ließ. Auch alternative Suchmaschinen im Internet bedeckt bei Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. fit der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Google
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
