- Mehr zu SEO Mitte der 1990er Jahre fingen die anfänglichen Suchmaschinen im WWW an, das frühe Web zu katalogisieren. Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten schnell den Wert einer lieblings Listung in Serps und recht bald entstanden Organisation, die sich auf die Aufbesserung qualifizierten. In Anfängen vollzogen wurde der Antritt oft über die Übertragung der URL der richtigen Seite an die diversen Suchmaschinen im Netz. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Untersuchung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Website auf den Server der Suchseite, wo ein zweites Anwendung, der so genannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu ähnlichen Seiten). Die frühen Typen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die mithilfe der Webmaster sogar vorgegeben werden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Eindruck mit Gehalt einer Seite, gewiss stellte sich bald hoch, dass die Inanspruchnahme der Hinweise nicht vertrauenswürdig war, da die Wahl der benutzten Schlagworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Erläuterung des Seiteninhalts repräsentieren kann. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Websites bei einzigartigen Suchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedenartige Fähigkeiten in des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu lenken, dass die Seite stärker in Resultaten gefunden wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Suchmaschinen im WWW sehr auf Merkmalen angewiesen waren, die bloß in Händen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr labil für Straftat und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um tolle und relevantere Testergebnisse in Ergebnissen zu bekommen, mussten sich die Besitzer der Suchmaschinen im Internet an diese Faktoren adaptieren. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Suchmaschine davon zusammenhängt, wesentliche Ergebnisse der Suchmaschine zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten ungünstige Ergebnisse zur Folge haben, dass sich die Nutzer nach ähnlichen Optionen bei der Suche im Web umblicken. Die Auskunft der Internet Suchmaschinen vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Rang, die Merkmalen beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwer steuerbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entwarfen mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Suchmaschinen – eine Suchmaschine, die auf einem mathematischen Algorithmus basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Seiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus reingehen ließ. Auch andere Suchmaschinen im WWW überzogen bei Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. wohlauf der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Google
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
