Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten direkt den Wert einer bevorzugten Positionierung in Ergebnissen und recht bald fand man Anstalt, die sich auf die Aufbesserung spezialisierten. In den Anfängen geschah die Aufnahme oft bezüglich der Übermittlung der URL der geeigneten Seite an die diversen Search Engines. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Analyse der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webseite auf den Webserver der Suchseiten, wo ein weiteres Angebot, der bekannte Indexer, Angaben herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu anderweitigen Seiten). Die zeitigen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die durch die Webmaster sogar bestehen worden sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Übersicht via Gehalt einer Seite, jedoch registrierte sich bald hoch, dass die Verwendung der Ratschläge nicht solide war, da die Wahl der gebrauchten Schlüsselworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Erläuterung des Seiteninhalts repräsentieren hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Websites bei einzigartigen Benötigen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedenartige Merkmale binnen des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite überlegen in den Suchergebnissen aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Suchmaschinen sehr auf Aspekte angewiesen waren, die einzig in den Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr instabil für Abusus und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um höhere und relevantere Ergebnisse in Ergebnissen zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Besitzer der Internet Suchmaschinen an diese Umständen adjustieren. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Suchseiten davon abhängig ist, wesentliche Suchresultate zu den inszenierten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten unangebrachte Resultate zur Folge haben, dass sich die User nach sonstigen Optionen wofür Suche im Web umschauen. Die Rückmeldung der Search Engines lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen beim Rang, die Kriterien beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert beeinflussbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entworfenen mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Die Suchmaschine – eine Search Engine, die auf einem mathematischen Matching-Verfahren basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Kanten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch übrige Suchmaschinen im Internet bezogen in der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. als der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Bing
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
