BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "school shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of expenses.

An elevated amount of police officers have been positioned at schools in the communities as a result of the signs. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators across the communities, the Department of Safety stated, however they determined there is no such thing as a credible risk at this time.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The protection division released a photo of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor fees including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged presently.
