BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" were present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of charges.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators across the communities, the Department of Safety stated, however they determined there isn't a credible risk right now.
The New Hampshire Department of Security is investigating indicators that read 'faculty shooter!' which were present in a number of communities New Hampshire Division of SecurityOne such sign was written on a paper plate. The security division released a photograph of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation."
Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor charges together with false report to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
