Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of many alleged gang members who opened fireplace in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an residence advanced, the Sacramento Police Department stated in a statement Saturday evening.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Department worked with our detectives for weeks in an effort to find Payton,” the statement stated.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, were charged this month with murder within the slayings, in addition to weapons offenses.
