Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities stated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the grownup male sufferer known as authorities about a potential sexual assault, mentioned Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle mentioned.

The sheriff’s division wouldn't present more details in regards to the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Legal professional’s Office had not obtained the case Wednesday and has not made a charging choice, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, where they met the victim and finally arrested Dick, Steinle mentioned.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in response to jail information. It was not instantly clear whether he had an legal professional who may speak on his behalf within the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s manager didn't respond to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the following 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not guilty, and the case is about for trial, said his lawyer in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he does not symbolize Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
